Product Management 💥
How to Approach Product Design Questions:
Interviewing for PM positions will likely involve a product design question - in which you’ll be asked to design a feature for a particular product. When it comes to product design questions - the CIRCLES method proves to be effective in breaking down your answer for a clear and segmented approach to answering the interviewer’s question rather than having your thoughts all over the place. Check out the CIRCLES framework here.
PM Blogs We’ve Been Loving:
The Stellar Peers blog has some great content on product strategy, design, product estimation, and execution to help you start thinking like a product manager and evolve product sense. You can also check out their website to learn more about their mock-interviewing platform.
Tech talks 💻
An IDE (or Integrated Development Environment) makes or breaks a developer’s productivity. A good IDE handles all development tasks and all stages of development: coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and running the web app. If you’ve ever watched an experienced developer, you can see just how effectively and quickly they can work because of their deep understanding of IDE.
Pick up one IDE you like, print out possible tools and keyboard shortcuts for it, and spend time learning them. An IDE can increase your coding speed and workflow drastically. According to the IDE Index, Eclipse and Visual Studio are the most popular IDEs currently.
